#11: Production is wrapping up

Great news and a short update- production will finish this week so I should have the final items on a boat by early next week. My production partner shared these photos with me:

Lastly, please check out my new podcast, Art for Profit's Sake - especially if you're curious about looking under the hood of Kickstarter projects. Next week's interview is with Seven, who managed to raise $1.4 million for a tarot deck and is transitioning to Backerkit's Crowdfunding platform. 

Last week I chatted with John Baltisberger about running a publishing company, Madness Heart Press (he wrote "Apostles of Affliction, the zine that you all received for free) and in two weeks I'll release a conversation with Zac Goins of World of Game Design. He's been my marketing partner for this and two other projects, as well as the write of "Numb," the other zine you received free as a stretch goal.

#10: New Production Photos

#09: New Podcast and Zines!

At this point in production, All Domestically made items have been accounted for and received.

From the last update I sent, the following progress has been made:

1. Old Romans has completed all music, and it can be heard here.

2. The printed versions of the additional stretch goal zines have been received. Please note that the digital versions are FREE to each backer- you'll receive both a text-only version and a full graphics-heavy version. If you'd like the physical versions, they are for sale via the backer kit for $10 each and will be shipped with the rest of the items during fulfillment.

3. All items produced by Donguan Bayaya MFG (Book, Card Deck, Character sheets, and Collector's Box) have been approved and production is underway.

4. Journals have been shipped and a floating toward me somewhere across the Pacific.

TL:DR: We are right on schedule!

Lastly, I want to point your attention to two other things I'm involved in.

First off is a Podcast I started. "Art for Profit's Sake" is a series of conversations with artists about where they find the profit in their business. Only two episodes have been released so far and we talk about finding local events, Shopify vs Woo-Commerce, finding Chinese manufacturers, audience engagement, and more. Find it wherever you listen to podcasts.

Second, is a tarot deck that I helped consult on. It's their first time using Kickstarter but I have a lot of faith in their project. The book and illustrations are great. Pledge now before the campaign ends!

Backerkit Update

Hey Folks!

Zac here with World of Game Design. We're helping Nick fulfill his project and have already started to see elements of this campaign hitting our warehouse. Couple quick notes as the Backerkit has opened up:

1. All of you should have received an email invitation to complete the survey on Backerkit. Please fill this out as soon as you can.

2. Digital rewards will be fulfilled through Backerkit. You will not be able to download your rewards until you've completed your survey. We'll be kicking out said rewards in the next 24 hours. 

3. Some of you caught that there was an issue where one of the digital products was trying to collect $$ for shipping. This has been resolved and is retroactively fixed for all backers. 

4. The Numb and Apostles of Affliction adventures that we unlocked and that are yours digitally for free are also done AND we went ahead and made a limited print run of them as physical zines for $10 each that you can pick up in the Backerkit.

#08: Production Updates

Thanks are moving fast at Chain Assembly!

So far I've received the T-Shirts, Enamel Pins, Metal Bookmarks, Additional Zines, and I've been making my way through the prints. I also already had the posters printed before the launch of the project.

Regarding the Music, OldRomans has completed the first two tracks, and posted them, along with the instrumental of the Kickstarter intro video, to his Spotify page.

For the rest of the items, digital proofs have been approved for everything, so the items are currently under production. I expect all of them to be done within 30 days, and then at my door 45 days after that (But I'll keep you posted).

Below you'll see a video of the journal from the manufacturer. The rest of the photos were taken by me of the bookmarks, shirts, pins, and prints.

Digital items will be delivered soon by World of Game Design. They are setting up the BackerKit and they will be distributed through them.
